Hiking and biking
Start at the lodge and hike on forest service trails for some of the most beautiful views in the Black Hills. Or drive a short distance and hike or bike the Mickelson Trail .

Gaming
The famous city of Deadwood is a short, scenic drive up Highway 385. Enjoy gaming, dining and entertainment in the casinos of this historic town. Another scenic drive takes you south to the Pine Ridge Indian Reservation, to the Prairie Wind Casino.

Watch the trout in the creek, or buy your license online when you get to the lodge and try your hand at fishing. Rapid Creek is just a few steps from the lodge.

Exploring and Adventuring
Mt Rushmore, the Badlands, Custer State Park, Crazy Horse Memorial, Jewel Cave, Wind Cave National Park, Reptile Gardens, and more. Try your hand at rock climbing. Meet friends or family for hunting or golfing. Visit in the winter for cross-country skiing.

Events
The Sturgis Rally takes place in early August and the Central States Fair follows shortly after. Come for the winter Stock Show in January or visit in the fall to hunt or to enjoy the turning leaves. The area boasts everything from art to extreme sports to rodeo, and the lodge is a perfect headquarters for your activities.
